Angelo Tardio

O
ur youngest son Angelo has been named after his great-uncle Angelo Tardio, born on March 29th, 1920 as the youngest son of Angelo Antonio Tardio and Maria Rosa Roselli.

Also around 1920 there was still a high death rate amongst young children and on October 4th, 1923 fate hit, 3-year old Angelo died suffering one of the many children-diseases of that time.

Before his death a photo was made of the family, unfortunately without his father who did pass away earlier that year on March 8th, 1923. However it was this photograph that would result that 75 years afterwards Edmondo would find out that his grandfather had a younger brother. About this fact was never been spoken by the entire family and had resulted in forgetting.

We thought it would be a nice idea to name our youngest son after his great-uncle and bringing back the almost lost memory of a member of the family and by doing so preserve this memory.

We tried to do this in a very special way by giving Angelo six names of famous and/or well-known Italians, each beginning with a letter of his pet name. By doing so we also respected the wish of Luciano to give his little brother six names.

Arcangelo  Corelli
Niccolo   Machiavelli
Galileo  Galilei
Egnazio   Danti
Leonardo  da Vinci
Ottaviano  de'Petrucci
Together these names form his pet name. A special name with a special signification for a special child. Our second son Angelo.
